A total of three airlines were participating in the direct France – Mexico flight niche -until the end of operations by the France-based XL Airways in September 2019- thus meaning the passengers in this international niche have a choice between two flagship carriers; the Mexican Republic represented by Aeromexico, whilst the French flagship carrier: Air France is the other current option for direct flights in this trans-Atlantic market niche.

Mexican airlines with direct flights to France
AEROMÉXICO in France
Aeromexico, a founding SkyTeam member airline, has connected France with Mexico for over 50 years, this route being the company’s second European destination.
Aeroméxico’s Mexico City Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX – Terminal 2) – Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG – Terminal 2E) services were increased over the summer 2018 season with an extra 2 weekly frequencies, to bring the total to 9 weekly round-trip services.
Currently -Sept. 2019- Aeroméxico is offering daily services -two frequencies on Mon., Thurs., Fri. and Sun.- on its Paris (CDG-MEX) Mexico City route uniting these two capital cities.

Aeromexico covers the Mexico City-Paris flight operating its Boeing 787-8 & 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with seating for 274 pasengers -36 in Business Class- Clase Premier.
Aeroméxico is currently the only Mexican airline offering direct Mexico-France flights.
French-based airlines with direct flights to Mexico
AIR FRANCE in Mexico
Air France, a founding SkyTeam member, offers two direct options between France and Mexico in its route portfolio, to Mexico’s world-famous Caribbean destination: Cancun, along with services to the Mexican capital: Mexico City.
Air France’s direct flights from the Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) to Cancun International Airport (CUN) are currently -Sept. 2019- operating three weekly frequencies: Tues., Thurs. and Saturdays.
The company’s flights between Paris (CDG) and Mexico City Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) currently -Sept. 2019- offer daily frequencies.
Air France is currently the only French airline offering direct France-Mexico flights since the exit from this trans-Atlantic niche -in Sept. 2019- of XL Airways.
Of interest regarding Air France in Mexico is that this carrier signed a deal with the local company Vroom in 2018, which offers helicopter services to/from and between the Mexico City and Toluca airports, so maybe you would like to check out whether there is a current discount offering.
Throughout 2018, the Air France-KLM Group transported over 100 million passengers for the first time, and on the route between Paris and Cancun the passenger total was 150,426 to give an annual increase of 11%.
According to DATATUR, Air France carried 312,248 passengers to Mexico in 2017, whilst In 2018 -according to Mexico’s Transport and Communications Ministry (SCT)- the company’s annual passenger headcount increased to 317,869 in the France-Mexico trans-Atlantic niche
