Aeroméxico is Mexico’s only carrier in South Korea, uniting the two capital cities of their respective countries: Mexico City and Seoul.

In June 2019, the Mexican flagship carrier: Aeroméxico celebrated the second anniversary of its direct services between the Mexican capital: Mexico City, and the South Korean capital: Seoul. As part of the celebration, Aeroméxico announced that it would -as of July 1, 2019- operate the flights without the -former- stopover at the International Airport of Mariano Escobedo Monterrey (MTY), so as to reduce the flight times.

Aeroméxico’s direct flights between Mexico City Benito Juárez International Airport (MEXICN) and the Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) currently offer 14 weekly frequencies, according to the company’s official website. The MEX-ICN services are on Tues., Thurs., Sat. and Sundays, whilst the ICN-MEX leg is provided on Mon., Wed., Fri. and Sundays (consulted on Sept. 7, 2019).

South Korea-based airlines with direct flights to Mexico

Currently, there are no South Korea-based airlines offering direct flights to Mexico, though it wouldn’t be a great surprise if Korea Air added a route to Mexico in the future, considering it is one of the founding airlines of the SkyTeam alliance, along with Mexico’s flagship carrier: Aeroméxico.
